We celebrated the New Year by doing something different: socializing! We normally prefer to stay home by ourselves, or go to a friend's house with a few other people, but we couldn't resist the idea of New Year's on the beach. It was chilly outside but the moon was full.
Our friends Julia and Ian have a beach house and invited a ton of people over to spend the night. Opting for our own beds, we went for a few hours but drove home, just in time to catch the lamest fireworks EVER off of the Sky Tower. How embarrassing that the first city in the WORLD to celebrate New Year's has the lousiest fireworks.
