Devonport

We took a drive to the other side of the North Shore -- Devonport. It's gorgeous. It's right on the water and has a real "seaside town" feel to it with lots of shops and cafés. It was rainy but still a little sunny so we saw a rainbow (pictured above). I swear, before I moved here I'd seen maybe 11 rainbows in my entire life. Here, you see them like once a week. I suspect it's probably the same in places like Seattle and Portland? Maybe.

We sat outside and had delish lattes and dessert before going home for a night of movies and Iain's homemade bolognese sauce.

What a lovely day.

We saw a homeless guy relieve himself on a dead rat, then sat on a subway platform in 120 degree heat waiting for a train before going home for a night of Taco Bell Express and The Two Coreys.

Pure magic!

We totally agree with the rainbows thing. Crazy but awesome!
